Oregon Trail Bourbon Porter is as big as the West, masterfully brewed with true pioneer spirit. This robust porter is aged in Kentucky oak bourbon barrels. The result is a pitch black brew, rich with oaky smoothness, bold bourbonesque aroma, with hints of fruit and vanilla.

The History of Oregon Trail Brewery
Founded in 1987 by Jerry and Nancy Shadomy, Oregon Trail Brewery was one of a small handful of pioneering craft breweries in Oregon that helped spark an American craft brewing renaissance. In 1993, Dave Wills stepped in to guide Oregon Trail Brewery through decades of craft brewing developments and also provided breweries and home brewers with Oregon grown hops through his organization “Freshops.” Over the years, Oregon Trail’s small brewhouse has provided a training ground for many professional brewers to cut their teeth.
Dave passed the torch of upholding the traditions of Oregon Trail Brewery to brothers Waylon and J.D. Pickett in 2021 (J.D. being a former OTB Brewer). With the help of J.D.'s partner Ali Pickett and their friend and former OTB brewer Weston Zaludek, Oregon Trail Brewery's crew is small and family oriented. With a recently updated fermentation system, Oregon Trail beer is still made in one of the oldest brew kettles in use which was purchased from Hart Brewing (which became Pyramid). OTB is a three story gravity fed brewery that is located in the historic Old World Center, the brewery shares space with the Old World Deli, a live music venue and an important community gathering place where Oregon Trail beers have been enjoyed for 35 years.
